By accessing and using the Talence Security Learning Management System (LMS), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Description of Service
Talence Security LMS provides online cybersecurity training courses, educational materials, and certification programs designed for professionals and students in the cybersecurity field.
3. User Accounts and Registration
To access our services, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Ensuring all registration information remains accurate and up-to-date
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the platform to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Share account credentials with unauthorized individuals
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Upload malicious software or harmful content
- Engage in any activity that could harm or disrupt our services
- Use our content for commercial purposes without written permission
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All course materials, content, and resources on this platform are the intellectual property of Talence Security or our content partners. Users may:
- Access and view content for personal educational purposes
- Download materials for offline study as permitted
- Take notes and create personal study materials
Users may not redistribute, republish, or commercially exploit any platform content without express written permission.
6. Payment Terms and Refund Policy
Courses are sold as one-time purchases granting lifetime access to course content. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card details.
Refund Policy
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have accessed less than 20% of the course content. To request a refund, contact our support team with your order details.
Refunds are not available if:
- More than 14 days have passed since purchase
- You have accessed 20% or more of the course content
- You have accessed 20% or more of the course labs
- A certification exam attempt has been used
Lab Access
Each course purchase includes 90 days of lab environment access from your course start date. Paid extensions are available upon request by contacting our support team.
7. Certification Exam Policy
Each course purchase includes one certification exam attempt. Certifications issued by Talence Security do not expire and carry no renewal fees.
Exam Attempts
- One attempt is included with every course purchase
- Additional attempts are available for a flat fee of $299
- A minimum 30-day waiting period applies between attempts
Exam Rules
- Open-book: candidates may use any tool or reference material
- No AI usage during the exam
- No collaboration or sharing of solutions with other candidates
- A professional report is required for all exams except TSEC
Violation of these rules results in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of the attempt. Repeated violations may lead to account termination.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
9. Platform Availability and Changes
We strive to maintain continuous platform availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to:
- Modify, update, or discontinue features with reasonable notice
- Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect availability
- Update course content to reflect current cybersecurity practices
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talence Security shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France.
For consumers residing in the European Union, this clause does not affect your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence as provided by applicable EU regulations.
